For the past three years Sanibel Air has been a supporting a local charity event called Cracker Fest. And I can tell you that the organizers once again did a great job at pulling off another fun evening filled dancing, great food and live music. I’m happy to report that we were able to help raise $3,100 by donating a brand new air conditioning system, which included installation for the event’s live auction.
Cracker Fest benefits Sanibel-Captiva chapter of Solutions to Avoid Red Tide (START). The organization is a state-wide non-profit foundation with a mission to improve the quality of our marine waters through research, public education and programs that restore marine habitat and preserve marine species. Proceeds from the event will continue funding the Coastal Classroom program for Lee County schools, and the Sustainable Seafood Program, “Seafood Savvy” and other programs that benefit the local marine environment. I’m happy to say that we are really glad that we had the opportunity to be a part of it, and I look forward to more people joining to support this great cause next year.
As always, thanks for reading,
Bryan
