Installing a humidistat or a thermostat, with built-in humidity control, in your home is particularly important when you tend to spend a lot of time away from it. Just like a thermostat, a humidistat turns your a/c system on and off depending on what the settings are as well as what the environmental conditions are. While thermostats are triggered by temperature (your home’s temperature rises which turns it on), the humidistat works the same when it comes to humidity.
